Job summary

Jobot seeks a Plant Engineer to lead facility infrastructure, utility reliability, and capital improvement projects at our Lathrop, CA manufacturing site. This role targets an engineering professional who drives long-term strategic initiatives, manages complex projects, and improves plant systems for operational excellence.

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Leadership to enhance reliability, efficiency, and growth readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Proven experience managing capital projects and infrastructure upgrades.
• Strong understanding of industrial utility systems and facility operations.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from concept to installation, startup, and closeout.
• Manage facility and infrastructure improvement initiatives focusing on safety, reliability, and performance.
• Drive reliability programs for critical utility systems (boilers, air, HVAC, water, wastewater, process gases).
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and contractor plans.
• Coordinate plant shutdowns and major maintenance events for capital improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support facility expansions and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain engineering drawings, technical documentation, and capital roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
