Job summary

Leidos Inc in Hawai'i is seeking an Advanced Capability Engineer to support the Indo-Pacific Logistics and Sustainment Services (ILS2) contract. This role focuses on evaluating emerging technologies and translating them into fieldable solutions for DoD logistics and sustainment programs across USPACOM.

You will lead technology scouting, capability assessments, and proof‑of‑concept initiatives, while communicating findings to government stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 13+ with a Master’s degree.
  • Experience evaluating and integrating emerging technologies within DoD, federal, or defense logistics programs.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS and government regulations related to technology insertion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and assess emerging technologies and industry advancements to enhance mission effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research, technology scouting, and capability assessments across sectors.
  • Analyze maturity, integration requirements, and ROI for proposed solutions.
  • Develop recommendations, proofs-of-concept, pilots, and transition strategies.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, technical teams, and industry partners on new capabilities.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving tech trends and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Support proposal development and program growth through technical assessments and roadmaps.
  • Develop technical briefings and assessment reports for leadership and customers.
