Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Contingency Sustainment Planner to support the Indo-Pacific Logistics and Sustainment Services (ILS2) contract in Hawai'i. The role focuses on developing sustainment approaches for contingency response across expeditionary environments, coordinating with stakeholders to mitigate risks and align with mission priorities.

The position requires extensive experience in contingency and logistics planning within defense contexts, strong communication, and an active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in contingency and/or crisis planning, sustainment planning, or logistics planning within a DoD, federal, or defense industry environment.
• Working knowledge of DoD contracting and understanding of FAR, DFARS, military, and government regulations.
• Experience identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies for logistics or sustainment operations.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop approaches for transition from steady-state operations to contingency response across expeditionary and contested environments.
• Define sustainment requirements supporting continuity of operations under changing mission conditions.
• Coordinate contingency planning with logistics and operational stakeholders.
• Identify risks affecting sustainment and develop mitigation strategies.
• Align sustainment concepts with mission priorities and operational timelines.
• Support crisis action planning activities as needed in response to emergent operations and contingencies.
