Job summary

Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is seeking an Animal Behavior & Training Lead to oversee canine training, assessments, enrichment, and adoption support across the PetSpace journey.

You will lead the Behavior & Training team, develop individualized plans, coach staff, and ensure humane, evidence-based practices while coordinating with care and operations to promote successful adoptions and ongoing welfare.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional positive reinforcement dog training experience (shelter/rescue/daycare).
• Professional certification in dog training strongly preferred (CPDT-KA).
• Experience leading staff in canine training and behavior modification.

Responsibilities

• Lead canine behavior assessments and ongoing evaluations throughout pet care journey.
• Develop and implement individualized training and behavior modification plans.
• Provide daily training support and coaching to staff and adopters.
• Ensure humane, evidence-based training and welfare practices.
