Boston University’s Office of Housing, Residence Safety is seeking a Senior Security Assistant to support access control for dormitories on the Charles River Campus. The role involves responding to emergencies, documenting incidents, and serving as a first point of contact for students, staff, and guests in a busy residential environment.

This full-time position requires strong communication, writing, and customer service skills, with weekend and overnight shifts expected.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Monitor access of residents and guests to large residential buildings on campus, enforcing guest and University policies.
• Verify guest passes and confiscate misused, damaged, or altered identification.
• Respond to emergencies (fire, medical, security) by notifying appropriate authorities.
• Communicate incidents via phone or radio and complete detailed Incident and Fire Alarm Reports.
• Serve as a front-line representative of the University, providing information and assistance.
• Monitor video systems and report suspicious activity or equipment issues.
