Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Senior Program Leader to coordinate seasonal direct care staff and assist in planning and supervising summer camp operations. You will work with Camp Director and Director of Camping Services to ensure programs run smoothly, safely, and in the youth-focused best interests of the agency.

The role requires overseeing curriculum, scheduling activities, and maintaining documentation, while ensuring compliance with ACA/COA standards and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Two-year AA Degree in either the educational or human services field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in the educational field or a closely related human services field is preferred.
• Individuals with a high school degree with at least three years’ experience in a camping environment will be considered.
• Ropes Course certification from an ACCT provider must be attained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of plan of work and operation of the facility including maintenance collaboration.
• Develop curriculum and schedule activities for camp programs.
• Assist in planning day-to-day operations of summer resident camp.
• Provide supervision of Summer Resident Camp staff.
• Resolve conflicts between youth and staff before escalation.
• Participate in recruiting Summer staff and training Camping Services staff.
• Maintain documentation for Summer Camp operations (incidents, census, etc.).
• Adhere to Youth Ranches policies/ACA/COA standards and state statutes.
