Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead a fast-paced, on-site culinary team at a rural summer camp. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, ensure allergen safety, and maintain high-quality, scratch-cooked meals for campers.

This live-in, seasonal position requires considerable dedication, a 6-day workweek, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required (Allergens knowledge preferred before start date).
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen protocols and sanitation standards compliant with Health Department guidelines.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, and track daily reporting.
• Serve as the liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
