Job summary

Tempco Mfg - St. Paul Facility in Mendota Heights, MN is seeking an Advanced CAM Technologist to own CNC milling programs for 3–4 axis VMCs using Mastercam or GibbsCAM.

Translate prints and GD&T into robust toolpaths and setup documents, and support inspection routines with InspecVision where needed. You will collaborate with engineering, toolroom, production, and quality to shrink cycle times, improve tool life, and formalize repeatable processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC milling programming in metal stamping environments.
• Mastercam or GibbsCAM proficiency required; strong G-code knowledge and tooling decisions.
• Able to read blueprints with GD&T and translate into robust toolpaths and setup docs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and refine CNC milling programs for 3–4 axis VMCs in Mastercam or GibbsCAM.
• Convert prints/CAD and GD&T into robust machining strategies and setup documentation.
• Create and maintain InspecVision optical inspection programs for automated verification.
• Author thorough setup/program sheets with toolpaths, setups, pickup points, and grind stock.
• Rapidly troubleshoot programming/machining issues to protect schedule and quality.
• Collaborate daily with engineering, tooling, production, and quality teams.
