Job summary

Tempco Mfg - St. Paul Facility is seeking a CNC Mill Setup Operator to set up and operate CNC milling machines for producing precision die components, fixtures, and metal-stamped parts in Mendota Heights, MN.

You will review setups, load programs, align workpieces, and optimize cutting parameters to meet exact specifications. The role emphasizes reading blueprints, using micrometers and calipers, and maintaining equipment while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with CNC milling.
• Experience designing, setting up, and qualifying fixtures for production machining.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and die design prints.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC vertical and horizontal milling machines according to drawings and setup instructions.
• Review program details and tooling with the programmer and load the correct program into the machine controller.
• Align workpieces on the X, Y, and Z axes using dial indicators or probes and load materials safely.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, tool offsets, and depths to meet tight tolerances and inspect parts with precision tools.
