Job summary

Actalent is hiring an Instrumentation/Calibration Specialist for a fully onsite role in Raleigh, NC. You will perform calibrations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting across manufacturing and lab systems in a greenfield expansion.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in calibration/instrumentation, GMP/GxP awareness, and strong documentation discipline. Onsite schedule is Monday–Friday with benefits including medical, 401(k), life insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• 2+ years calibration or instrumentation experience (manufacturing preferred).
• Experience with loop checks, humidity, temperature, pressure, and pH calibrations.
• Familiarity with process equipment, utilities systems, and basic lab instruments.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred (training available).
• High attention to detail in GxP documentation and referencing standards.
• Solid understanding of GMPs and life‑science regulatory expectations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough electrical panel safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• GxP calibrations — complete calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with compliant documentation.
• Instrumentation support — calibrations across flow, conductivity, pH, humidity, temperature, pressure, mass, and dimensional systems.
• Equipment handling — maintain standards, test equipment, and client‑owned instrumentation.
• Troubleshooting — support minor repairs and troubleshooting with schedule discipline.
• Safety compliance — identify safety risks and adhere to site requirements in active construction zones.
• Client interaction — assess client needs and develop technical solutions.
