Job summary

Actalent in Raleigh, NC seeks an Instrumentation/Calibration Specialist to perform calibrations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting across manufacturing, utilities, and select lab systems. This onsite role emphasizes accuracy, GMP/GxP documentation, and strict safety practices in an active construction environment.

You will complete calibrations, support loop checks, and coordinate with clients, with a contract-to-hire path and day shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years calibration or instrumentation experience (manufacturing preferred).
• Experience with loop checks, humidity, temperature, pressure, and pH calibrations.
• Familiarity with process equipment, utilities systems, and basic lab instruments.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred (training available).
• High attention to detail, especially in GxP documentation and referencing standards.
• Solid understanding of GMPs and life‑science regulatory expectations.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Thorough electrical panel safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with accurate, compliant documentation aligned with site procedures.
• Perform flow, conductivity, pH, humidity, temperature, pressure, mass, and dimensional calibrations.
• Maintain standards, test equipment, and client-owned instrumentation.
• Support minor repairs and troubleshooting while prioritizing scheduled calibration and maintenance events.
• Proactively identify safety risks and ensure site safety adherence, especially in active construction zones.
• Assess client needs, develop technical solutions, and build strong working relationships.
