Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District 48 is seeking a Senior Nutritional Services Worker for the FLOAT shift (8am - 2pm) at the Scottsdale campus. This role performs food preparation, cooking, and cashiering in a cafeteria environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of food handling or cashiering experience; ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card within 30 days; and strong customer service and kitchen sanitation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with basic food-handling experience.
• Cashier experience preferred.
• Food handler card within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cooking and food prep in cafeteria.
• Collect lunch money, balance cash drawers, and prepare cash reports.
• Serve and replenish food supply.
• Clean cafeteria and kitchen areas; sanitize surfaces.
• Prepare cafeteria for meals and ensure utensils and napkins are available.
• Monitor food inventory and counts after daily meal service.
• Perform other duties of similar nature as needed.
