Job summary

Southeastern Surveying & Mapping Corporation in Pensacola, FL is seeking a CAD Technician III to create and modify technical drawings, schematics, and 2D/3D models from sketches and drawings using CAD software. Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of CAD experience.
• Certified Survey Technician Certification Level III+; SIT is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, FDOT surveying.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Licensed Surveyor and Mapper in applying Land Surveying principles and methods.
• Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and practices.
• Perform boundary research, calculation, and analysis.
• Perform deed research and deed plotting.
• Prepare legal descriptions, survey drawings, and plats.
• Provide technical office support.
• Perform quality control checks of drawings and deliverables.
• Ensure schedules and production objectives are met.
• Ensure the accuracy of reports by data review and resolving discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with staff and clients.
• Organize, multi-task, prioritize daily workload with minimal supervision.
