Job summary

BHC is seeking a Lead CAD Survey Technician to join our Kansas City office. You will develop plan sets, detail drawings, and 3D models in Civil 3D, while producing accurate surveys for ALTA/NSPS and boundary projects.

The role involves coordinating with the surveying team, supervising CAD staff, and ensuring data quality. A strong foundation in geometry and GIS is essential, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Plan and prepare CAD drawings using Civil 3D for surveys and plats.
• Interpret 3D surface models, contours, and GIS data.
• Prepare construction staking data for field crews.
• Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records.
• Coach and guide other CAD Survey Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare CAD drawings for topographic and boundary surveys.
• Coordinate with project team to relay status of CAD work.
• Ensure CAD files follow BHC standards and QC checks.
• Supervise or direct the work of other CAD Survey Technicians when needed.
