Job summary

Zoox in Foster City, CA seeks a senior CAD Training Lead to own the CATIA training strategy and build a scalable program. You will forecast class needs, coordinate instructors, and create a roadmap for self-paced and blended learning.

You will partner with engineering leaders to identify skill gaps, tailor curricula, and track training effectiveness and CAD quality metrics, while building a team of CAD quality specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years hands-on CATIA V5 and/or 3DEXPERIENCE with advanced modeling.
• Experience developing or delivering CAD training programs at scale.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for engineers at different levels.
• Solid understanding of CAD data quality, MBD, and PLM data management.
• Experience defining and rolling out CAD standards within 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Experience partnering with IT/PLM teams and vendors to scope CAD tooling/automation.
• Excellent program management, forecasting, and logistics skills.
• Mentoring or leadership experience; willingness to grow into management.
• Bonus: instructional design / e-learning, auto/high-tech industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the CATIA training strategy, forecast class needs and roadmap for learning.
• Partner with engineering leads to identify skill gaps and tailor curricula.
• Create and maintain training docs, quick-reference guides, onboarding materials.
• Coordinate with SMEs for consistent modeling methodology and support CAD users.
• Define and promote CAD standards within 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Serve as Zoox's SME for CATIA/CAD with vendors, IT/PLM, and engineering.
• Investigate, trial, and implement CAD tools and automation.
• Investigate, select, and develop a Zoox-specific supplier portal.
• Support 3D data exchange across tools and organizations within Zoox.
• Enable secure collaboration with external partners via 3DEXPERIENCE and need-to-know access.
• Build and lead a team of CAD quality specialists and trainers as the program scales.
