Job summary

CoLab is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build integrations that connect CAD, PLM, ERP, and other engineering systems within the Mechanical Engineering Lifecycle. You’ll create desktop and web capabilities, working alongside Product, Design, and Customer Success to translate real customer challenges into scalable software.

You’ll mentor peers, contribute to the roadmap, and help drive performance, reliability, and UX across the platform.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Java, C#, and/or Python and other object‑oriented languages.
• Experience with version control, release management, and CI/CD workflows.
• Exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS is an asset.
• Experience with front-end build tools like Webpack, NPM, Jest, Cypress is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex customer problems with Product, Design, and Engineering to build value.
• Design, build, and maintain customer-facing capabilities across desktop and web.
• Develop integrations with CAD/PLM platforms to fit ME Lifecycle workflows.
• Collaborate to design new features based on customer needs and UX.
• Improve tools, architecture, and practices to ship high‑quality software quickly.
• Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Champion user experience focusing on performance and reliability.
• Contribute to product vision, technical direction, and roadmap discussions.
• Mentor teammates with technical guidance and feedback.
