Job summary

Impinj, Inc. is seeking an experienced CAD Silicon Support Engineer to accelerate tape-out and maximize tool uptime for our silicon design teams. You will develop DRC/LVS/Extraction rule decks, configure EDA tools, and support Linux-based workflows across design disciplines.

Applicants should have 10+ years in design automation with strong Cadence and Synopsys experience, plus Linux administration and scripting skills. Remote work options and a fast-paced environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with significant experience.
• 10+ years in a design and/or design automation field.
• Experience with Physical Verification Tools (DRC/LVS/Extraction tools).
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages listed (Cadence Skill, Perl, Python, Unix shell, C, C++, Web development).
• Experience supporting Linux operating systems.
• Experience with CMOS silicon processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document technical processes clearly and communicate across teams.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Experience with Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens tools and related environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop PDk elements including DRC, LVS and Extraction rule decks, model files and timing files.
• Setup and configure EDA tools for design teams.
• Specify workstation and server systems, develop Linux OS installation and maintenance scripts.
• Administer and support user accounts and Linux OS.
• Support team members on Linux OS and toolchains.
• Support designers using DRC, LVS and Extraction tools.
• Support analog and digital design flows from project setup to tape-out.
• Work with timing and library characterization tools.
• Liaise between designers and tool vendors to debug tasks and automate workflows.
