Job summary

Mythic is seeking an experienced CAD/EDA engineer to advance a robust design environment for IC designers in a fast-growing setting. You will lead tool upgrades, manage PDKs/IPs, advise on methodology, and contribute automated tooling to accelerate development cycles.

The role requires deep Cadence experience, analog/mixed-signal design expertise, and strong scripting capability to streamline EDA flows and license, build, and compute infrastructure support.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Cadence tool flow is required.
• Experience with analog/mixed-signal design tools (Virtuoso, AMS, Spectre).
• Proficiency in layout/signoff tools (PVS/Pegasus, Calibre).
• Synthesis, APR, and physical design (Genus, Innovus / DDI).
• Revision control experience and methodology recommendations (Perforce/VersIC).
• Internal and external IP management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple PDKs simultaneously.
• Familiarity with TSMC and GF preferred.
• Scripting & automation: Python, Perl, Tcl, Bash, SKILL; automating EDA flows and environment setup.
• License management: FlexNet/FlexLM administration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support IC design and IT leadership with multiple tool and infrastructure upgrades.
• Manage several repositories of PDKs, IPs, and multiple tools from multiple vendors.
• Advise design IT leadership with methodology enhancements and future planning.
• Keep up with advancements in industry tools that are relevant to our goals.
• Where necessary or advantageous, develop custom tools/scripts/plug-ins that are easily adopted by users.
