Job summary

Aquila Technology is seeking a CAD Engineer to support a defense research organization. The role focuses on developing and maintaining the Innovator PLM platform for managing data, sharing information, and growing digital engineering adoption.

The ideal candidate has extensive CAD experience, ARAS Innovator proficiency, and strong collaboration skills to support national-level digital engineering initiatives and sponsored research programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years CAD experience.
• 5 years device design.
• 5 years ARAS Innovator.
• 5 years SolidWorks 3D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex designs for imaging systems, thermal systems packaging, novel materials and mechanisms.
• Experience with a wide range of platforms (manned/unmanned vehicles, aircraft, ships, spacecraft).
• Modeling of mechanical enclosures and optical assemblies with mounting/actuation/alignment considerations.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
