Aquila Technology is seeking a CAD Designer to join its team in support of a premier defense research organization. The Senior optical/Mechanical Designer will work on sensor systems, coordinating development of electronics, thermal, mechanical and optical subsystems for rapid prototypes.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience in mechanical design with SolidWorks/CATIA and a strong background in opto-mechanical engineering, thermal/structural analysis and manufacturing processes.

Responsabilidades

• Develop complex designs for imaging systems, thermal systems packaging, novel materials and innovative mechanisms
• Experience with platforms such as manned/unmanned vehicles, aircraft, ships, spacecraft
• Design and modeling of mechanical enclosures, optical assemblies with mounting/adjustment/actuation and alignment
• Collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
