EPS Corporation seeks a Sr Designer/Draftsman with five years’ experience designing complex engineering systems, including mechanical, electrical, and circuits, from planning to execution of graphics and detailed models for undersea vehicles.

You will work with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo) to produce drawings and data packages, ensure MIL-STD-31000B compliance, and support NAVSEA and DoD data deliverables, while collaborating with engineers on fabrication-ready designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical drafting and design with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with undersea, naval, or DoD platform design work is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with ASME drafting standards and reading engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting MIL-STD-31000B and NAVSEA drawings.

Responsabilités

• Develop, update, review, and maintain engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation for undersea vehicle systems (MK11 SDV, SWCS, DCS)
• Create and modify detailed mechanical and electrical designs using CAD per MIL-STD-31000B and DRM standards
• Collaborate with engineers to translate concepts into fabrication-ready drawings and data packages
• Ensure configuration management of drawing packages using CMPRO per CM plans
• Apply fabrication knowledge of metals and composites for undersea constraints
• Provide redlines, NORs, and drafting notes for engineering changes
• Generate technical data packages supporting prototypes, production units, and depot repairs
• Support anodizing, painting, and fit documentation to meet OQE and certification requirements
• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience; DoD/undersea experience preferred
