Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior CAD Designer to support the mechanical engineering team for satellites and aerospace systems. You will create models/drawings from CAD data and ensure compliance with requirements, tolerances, and instructions.

You should have a technical degree or equivalent, 5+ years CAD drafting experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks. Collaboration tools like MS Teams, Confluence, and Jira are used to coordinate design work.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent with 5+ years CAD drafting experience.
• Proficiency in CAD tools with SolidWorks preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD drawing support (SolidWorks drawings) during product development.
• Generate/modify models, drawings and documentation.
• Identify problems in CAD designs and implement corrective actions.
• Manage mechanical data files and drawings with product data management tools.
• Prepare engineering change orders and update documentation.
• Input data and manage hardware structures in SolidWorks PDM.
