Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior CAD Designer to support the mechanical engineering team by creating models and drawings from CAD data, sketches, and notes. You will ensure documentation complies with program requirements and industry standards, delivering accurate drawings with proper tolerances and clear instructions.

From SolidWorks to PDM, you will manage CAD data, apply changes, and collaborate across teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• CAD drafter with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficient in CAD tools; SolidWorks preferred.
• Able to read schematics and product specifications.
• Comfortable with MS Teams, Confluence, and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD drawing support (SolidWorks Drawings) throughout the product development process.
• Generate and/or modify product models, drawings, and documentation.
• Identify problems or issues in CAD designs and provide corrective actions.
• Manage and control mechanical digital data files and drawings.
• Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders.
• Input data and manage hardware structures in a Product Data Management tool (SolidWorks PDM).
