Job summary

Arc Boat Company in Torrance, CA seeks a Senior CAD Designer to own the CAD backbone of our vessels—models, drawing packages, and standards. You’ll produce production-intent CAD for hull structures, mechanical systems, and powertrain interfaces, and release drawings that vendors can quote from without a phone call.

You’ll set CAD standards, manage large assemblies in Teamcenter, and ensure GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design and drafting with production release experience.
• Expert in NX CAD including sheet metal, weldments, Class A surfacing, and large assemblies.
• Teamcenter administration experience, including workflows.
• Strong GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5 with vendor release experience.
• Thrives with incomplete requirements and fast-changing designs.
• Clear communication with engineers, technicians, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Create production-intent CAD for hull, deck structures, mechanical systems, and powertrain interfaces.
• Release fully dimensioned drawing packages to manufacturing and suppliers with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Own large assemblies and Teamcenter/PLM structure, eBOM configuration, and scalable data models.
• Set CAD standards, templates, naming conventions, and revision control.
• Own the boat-level eBOM and mass properties.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain on DFM to catch issues early.
• Support prototype builds and feed learnings back into models.
