Job summary

Grote Industries, Inc. is seeking a senior CAD Designer III to develop high-quality 3D models, drawings, and fixtures for new product development and improvements.

You will work with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Tooling to ensure designs are manufacturable and compliant with GD&T standards. The ideal candidate has extensive Creo experience, Windchill familiarity, and a strong grasp of DFM, DFA, and tolerance analysis, with a background in automotive lighting or related

Qualifications

• 7+ years CAD/design experience with Creo and PLM familiarity.
• Strong GD&T, DFM/DFA knowledge and tolerance analysis.
• Experience designing for automotive plastics and tooling.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify complex 3D CAD models and drawings in Creo.
• Manage CAD data and document control in Windchill.
• Develop GD&T-compliant drawings and manufacturing specs.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to ensure manufacturability.
• Design injection-m molded components and test fixtures.
• Support design reviews and CAD standardization.
• Provide guidance to junior designers.
