Job summary

North Wind Services LLC in Livermore, CA is seeking a Design Drafter - Mechanical Designer to develop detailed designs and CAD drawings for high-precision hardware and sensor systems.

You will collaborate with engineers and scientists, apply 3D CAD modeling using PTC Creo, and generate fabrication and installation drawings, supporting design reviews and documentation.

Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and Windchill is valued; overtime and on-site training may be required.

Qualifications

• AS degree or higher in mechanical engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience from concept to prototype, including fabrication and testing.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5M standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and finalize mechanical hardware and sensor drawings.
• Create 3D CAD concepts and fabrication/assembly drawings.
• Support design reviews and cross-functional collaboration.
• Review drawings for accuracy and perform tolerance analyses.
