Job summary

Charlie Mike Recruiting is seeking a Senior CAD Designer for our client in the commercial construction sector. The role focuses on creating precise CAD drawings, collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients, and ensuring designs meet regulatory and project requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of CAD experience in construction, strong AutoCAD/Revit skills, and a solid grasp of construction systems and codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Designer in the commercial construction industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Understanding of building codes, construction standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical plans for commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings related to construction systems.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-specific programs to create detailed designs.
• Assist in material take-offs and cost estimations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all drawings and revisions.
• Provide support during the construction phase, ensuring accuracy and resolving design issues as needed.
