Job summary

Charlie Mike Recruiting seeks an experienced Senior CAD Designer to join our team. The role focuses on CAD design for commercial construction, producing detailed drawings and collaborating with project managers to meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of CAD experience in commercial construction, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a strong understanding of building codes and construction processes. On-site work in Illinois is expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of CAD design experience in the commercial construction industry.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Understanding of building codes, construction standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical plans for commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure specifications are met.
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings related to construction systems.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other software to create detailed designs.
• Assist in material take-offs and cost estimations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all drawings and revisions.
• Provide support during the construction phase, resolving design issues as needed.
