Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Lansdale, PA seeks a Sr CAD Designer to lead CAD design, develop standards, and guide CAD engineers on complex projects. You will review drawings for quality, ensure compliance, and collaborate across teams to drive innovation and process improvements.

The role requires 3–5 years of drafting experience, proficiency in Creo/AutoCAD, Windchill, and GD&T/ASME standards, with the ability to obtain a security clearance and work on a 9/80 schedule at the Lansdale site.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related experience; Associate's degree in Drafting required.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances and ASME Y14.100/Y14.5.
• Excellent communication across organizational levels; read technical publications.
• Proficient in Windows suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and CAD software; 3D modeling.
• Time management and confidentiality; adaptable to changing priorities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Generate mechanical layouts and new drawings with input from engineers; incorporate ECNs.
• Liaise between Responsible Engineer and Mechanical Engineer for design layout.
• Prepare parts lists.
• Design with DFM and DFA in mind.
• Manage CAD models and drawings using Windchill.
• Collaborate in team meetings and activities.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Create layouts for moderately complex electronic assemblies and analyze data for changes.
