Job summary

EMP in Escanaba, Michigan seeks a Senior Designer to create large 3D models and prints using CREO and PDM. You will manage revision control and product life cycles while supporting engineering, sales and service.

The role requires expertise in designing cast/injection molded parts, sheet metal, and welded assemblies with a keen understanding of DFM, tooling, and production constraints. You will use Windchill for document control and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design CAD related experience
• Associate degree plus CAD design experience
• Strong knowledge of DFM principles and manufacturing constraints

Responsibilities

• Create large complex 3D models and prints using CREO/PDM essentials.
• Design cast and injection molded components with a strong understanding of DFM principles, tooling considerations, material properties, and production constraints.
• Design sheet metal, fabricated, and welded components/assemblies with a strong understanding of DFM principles, tooling considerations, material properties, and production constraints.
• Utilize Windchill to store and control engineering models, drawings, and related documents.
• Release prints using in‑house ECN system and revise large complex models and prints.
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal engineering during release process.
• Provide technical support to department projects through design, CAD analysis, and test support.
