Job summary

Durr CTS Inc. is seeking a Designer to join our engineering team in Wisconsin. You will use 3D CAD (PTC Creo) to develop new products or modify existing designs, and you will prepare detailed drawings, BOMs, and associated documentation.

The role requires expertise in sheet metal fabrication, strong communication, and the ability to work with little supervision to meet project deadlines. Occasional site visits may be required, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in mechanical drafting (or equivalent).
• Proficient to expert use of 3D CAD; PTC Creo preferred.
• Proficient in 2D CAD; AutoCAD Mechanical preferred.
• Experience with drawing revision and document control.
• Strong design and drafting capabilities for sheet metal fabrication and mechanical assemblies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Use 3D CAD to develop, model and design new products or modify existing ones.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, detailed part views and BOMs; create supporting documentation.
• Process engineering work requests and review drawings for adherence to standards.
• Collaborate across engineering, plant staff and customers on proposals and drawings.
• Maintain version control and data management for drawings and designs.
• Support field measurements and assist in translating requirements into manufacturable designs.
