Job summary

Mechanical-Dynamics- in Minnesota seeks a Mechanical Drafter to deliver 3D SolidWorks models and 2D prints of components and assemblies to support manufacturing engineering projects. You will work with GD&T, create drawings in SharePoint, and collaborate with Design, Development Engineering and Quality to ensure correct tolerancing and documentation.

Candidates should have an AS Mechanical Drafting or Engineering degree (or equivalent), 4+ years in industrial or aerospace gas turbine

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in Industrial / Aerospace Gas Turbine manufacturing facility
• 4+ years’ experience in Solidworks and AutoCAD programs
• Experience in GD&T preferred. Certification in GD&T will be preferred
• 4+ years’ experience in advanced joining technology including welding and brazing nickel cobalt, and chrome-based alloys
• Reading engineering drawings, specifically ANSI Y14.5

Responsibilities

• Component and Assembly Drafting
• Develop 3D SolidWorks Models
• Create and maintain 2D Drawings in SharePoint from SolidWorks models
• Collaborate with Design/Development Engineering and Quality to modify and maintain dimensioning and tolerancing criteria
• Generate and maintain part numbers from numbering system when new components, assemblies or fixtures are created
• Tooling and Fixturing development and maintenance
• Develop and maintain tooling and fixturing models and drawings
• Contribute to the development and resolution of ECRs
• Work with Manufacturing to resolve technical production issues
• Support validation of manufacturing processes being developed
• Create Development First Article Books for product qualification
• Any Special Projects as assigned
