Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing California employment and labor law.
• Significant experience advising employers on employment law and employee relations matters.
• Experience conducting complex workplace investigations and employment litigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, discipline, terminations, accommodations, leaves, harassment, discrimination, and wage/hour issues.
• Advise leaders on compliant employee management across states and California-specific wage/hour requirements.
• Oversee California-based employment litigation, agency charges, audits, and administrative proceedings.
• Lead internal investigations and witness preparation; manage case strategy and settlements.
• Partner with HR and Operations to align legal risk with business objectives and policies.
