Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Systems Engineer II to join the Secure Subsystems Department in Cedar Rapids. You will contribute across the systems engineering lifecycle, delivering secure, mission-critical airborne and ground communication products in a classified environment. This onsite role requires U.S.

citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence technical strategy, and support bids and proposals while traveling up to 10%

Qualifications

• Experience with the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, and verification/validation, and transition to production.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a dedicated, high-performing team driving the development of airborne and ground communication products, delivering secure, mission-critical solutions to our customers.
• Contribute to all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle, including trade studies, system architecture, requirements definition and allocation, traceability, integration, verification, and qualification.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful execution of key program milestones.
• Provide systems engineering support for bids and proposals, contributing to technical strategy and solution development.
• Perform daily tasks in a classified and controlled lab environment.
• Travel up to 10%.
