Job summary

Espy is seeking a Software Engineer to join a small, growing team responsible for Linux C++ software that processes high-bandwidth signal data for government customers. You will design, implement, test, and maintain software that captures data from antennas and stores it for long-term analysis and visualization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, CS, EE, Math or Physics; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years designing C++ software in Linux with high-performance networking.
• Experience with TCP/UDP high-performance networks.
• Knowledge of signal processing and data visualization.
• Willingness to travel 2–3 times per year; TS/SCI clearance preferred.
• Experience with Git/JIRA; familiar with Docker, CUDA, MongoDB, and embedded hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test C++ software in a Linux environment.
• Develop software for embedded systems aligned with hardware requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and other software teams for integration.
• Coordinate with teams to design features and bug fixes; mentor juniors.
• Perform hands-on testing and provide deployment support for global customers.
• Stay current with industry advances and new technologies; apply judiciously.
• Work independently with professional judgment to meet deadlines.
