Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Senior C++ Engineer for Satellite Real-Time Control Systems in a hybrid Warsaw setting. You will develop high-performance, deterministic embedded software powering SAR satellites, handling on-orbit control loops across the full lifecycle.

Collaborating with GNC, electronics, and operations teams, you will optimize latency, reliability, and maintainability while leading architectural evolution as the fleet grows and mission profiles expand.

Qualifications

• Strong experience writing modern C++ with production-quality code.
• Real-time control software experience for autonomous or safety-critical systems.
• Knowledge of hard real-time constraints, latency budgeting, and determinism.
• Experience interfacing with sensors/actuators in embedded Linux.
• Rigorous testing, CI/CD, and clear documentation practices.
• Ownership across the full software lifecycle from concept to on-orbit maintenance.
• Clear communicator with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize modern C++ code with strict determinism and latency budgets.
• Build software bridging sensors, actuators, and control algorithms.
• Drive quality from requirements to testing, launch, and on-orbit support.
• Collaborate with GNC, electronics, ground segment, and mission ops engineers.
• Lead architectural evolution as the fleet grows and new tech is introduced.
• Investigate anomalies by analyzing telemetry and deploying fixes.
