Job summary

Lyntris seeks an experienced Government Reference Implementation (GRI) Software Engineer to develop production-quality software implementing Government Reference Architectures for autonomy and mission-critical defense systems.

You will work with systems engineers, architects, autonomy engineers, and government stakeholders to deliver standards-based software components, validate architecture implementations, and enable interoperability in contested environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing production-quality software.
• Experience with modern DevOps tools and practices (GitLab CI/CD, SonarQube, automated testing, containerized environments).
• Experience developing software for large-scale distributed systems using messaging frameworks like ActiveMQ, DDS, or ZeroMQ.
• Familiarity with MBSE artifacts and translating SysML/Cameo models into software.
• Experience collaborating with systems engineers, architects, autonomy engineers, and government stakeholders.
• Experience in Autonomy/Robotics integration, Mission planning, or Task allocation.
• Active U.S. national security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-quality software implementing Government Reference Architectures for defense and mission-critical systems.
• Develop high-performance C++ applications following best practices.
• Translate MBSE artifacts (SysML, Cameo) into software components and interfaces.
• Implement APIs, data models, and interfaces from ICDs and architecture models.
• Develop software for distributed systems using messaging frameworks (ActiveMQ, DDS, ZeroMQ).
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to validate interoperability and performance.
• Participate in software integration, verification, and interoperability testing.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
