Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to improve performance of the Roblox client across platforms, including Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation and TV. You will own end-to-end performance, build profiling and telemetry systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.

The role requires 3+ years of C++ experience in large codebases, a track record in performance measurement, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing high-quality, performant C++ code in large, complex codebases.
• Proven track record of building reliable measurement, monitoring, or regression prevention systems.
• Ability to autonomously navigate complex, ambiguous systems and deliver stable, production-grade software.
• Exceptional communication skills to discuss technical trade-offs with engineering and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end performance of the Roblox client across all platforms.
• Build benchmarking, profiling, and telemetry systems to catch regressions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to evaluate tradeoffs and rollout plans.
• Drive deep technical impact by tackling complex codebases and mentoring peers on performance best practices.
