Job summary

Visual Comfort & Co. seeks a Senior Buyer to lead supply planning, manage the purchase order lifecycle, and optimize inventory for premium lighting and related products.

You will coordinate with vendors, product development, sales, and demand planning to ensure on-time delivery for the company’s complex product lines. The role requires 5+ years in supply planning or procurement, with strong MRP/DRP and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supply planning, procurement, or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/DRP, inventory planning, procurement processes, and cost analysis.
• Advanced Excel and BI reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate supply planning to ensure product availability.
• Manage POs with domestic and international suppliers using MRP recommendations.
• Monitor inventory levels and supplier production schedules to hit In Stock %, Months of Supply, On-Time Delivery.
• Lead small cross-functional projects and mentor junior buyers.
• Collaborate with sales, product management, accounting, and customer service to anticipate business impacts.
