Job summary

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation is seeking a Senior Buyer to independently manage procurement of raw materials, capital equipment, tooling and related items in line with company policies.

You will coordinate supplier selection, lead times, and inventory levels, and work with internal teams to optimize quality, delivery, and costs while driving process improvements and cost-reduction projects across the procurement function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and/or related field.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing, Procurement and/or related field.
• Additional continuing education certification in Procurement or related field or MBA preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing Principles knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities to optimize quality, delivery, price and terms.
• Analyze requirements and vendor information to support sound procurement decisions.
• Develop and maintain procurement data systems for accurate reporting.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers including freight and logistics costs.
• Issue purchase orders, change notices, and correspondence with vendors.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales to resolve issues.
