Job summary

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation in Liberty, SC is seeking a Senior Buyer to independently handle purchasing of raw materials, capital equipment, tooling and other items in line with company policies. You will coordinate procurement activities to optimize quality, delivery, price and terms, and assemble information from requirements planning and vendor research for sound decisions.

Generate and maintain procurement data systems, participate in supplier evaluations, and drive cost reduction

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in business or related field.
5+ years in manufacturing, procurement and/or related field.
Certifications in procurement or MBA preferred.
Experience with AS400 and MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate procurement activities to attain optimum quality, delivery, price, and terms.
Select and assemble information for sound procurement decisions.
Develop and analyze procurement information systems for data maintenance.
Negotiate terms with suppliers including freight and logistics.
Issue purchase orders and change notices as required.
Maintain supplier lead-times, classifications, safety stocks, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales to fix issues.
Travel to supplier facilities as needed.
