Job summary

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation in North Kingstown, RI, is seeking a Purchasing and Procurement Manager to oversee material requirements planning and purchasing in line with company policies. You will manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery to support the production plan.

The role requires extensive experience in procurement, MRP/JIT, and cost-reduction initiatives, with a focus on quality, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with QA, logistics, and operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics & Materials, or related field.
CSCP/CPIM certification is a plus.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Buyer/Planner coordinating purchases and deliveries.

Responsibilities

Plan material requirements based on forecasts, orders and inventory targets.
Purchase materials per policy; source bids and select vendors for best price/quality.
Prepare orders for raw materials, packaging, components and services for production.
Coordinate with production, warehouse, supply chain and suppliers to ensure timely procurement.
Ensure on-time delivery and arrange transportation per schedule requirements.
Lead vendor negotiations and cost reduction initiatives with suppliers and internal teams.
