Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in New Stanton, PA is seeking a Senior Buyer to purchase goods, materials and services, aligning with cost, quality, and delivery targets. The role reports to the Supply Chain Operations Team Lead and offers a hybrid work schedule.

You will support RFQ/RFP processes, manage Procure-to-Pay from engagement to PO, and ensure on-time deliveries with suppliers and internal clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain or business.
• 3+ years' experience in operational supply chain, nuclear or technical areas.
• Knowledge of P2P, Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/ Manufacture.
• We prefer knowledge of SAP MRP, Material Masters, PIRs, Source Lists and PO automation.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ/RFP process including the pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions
• Manage the procure to pay process from engagement to Purchase Order issuance and resolve issues with our teams
• Manage On Time Deliveries with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, project)
• Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List
• Explore alternate sources for goods and materials, plan and share with Buyers
• Conduct risk analysis of suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints
• Resolve scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes and guide cost savings.
• Coach junior supply chain professionals (Buyers)
• Coordinate work to meet volume and plant's requirements
