Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in New Stanton, PA is seeking a Senior Buyer to purchase goods, materials and services, targeting cost, quality and delivery goals. This role reports to the Supply Chain Operations Team Lead and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Key responsibilities include supporting RFQ/RFP processes, managing procure-to-pay, ensuring on-time deliveries, onboarding suppliers, and coaching junior buyers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Supply Chain or Business degree preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in operational supply chain, nuclear or technical areas.
• Knowledge of P2P (Procure to Pay), Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/ Manufacture.
• We prefer knowledge of SAP MRP, Material Masters, PIRs, Source Lists, and PO automation processes.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ/RFP process including pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions.
• Manage the procure to pay process from engagement to Purchase Order issuance and resolve issues with our teams.
• Manage On Time Deliveries with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, project).
• Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List.
• Explore alternate sources for goods and materials, plan and share with Buyers.
• Conduct risk analysis of suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints.
• Resolve scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes and guide cost savings.
• Coach junior supply chain professionals (Buyers).
• Coordinate work to meet volume and plant's requirements.

About the role:

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
