Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in New Stanton, PA, is seeking a Senior Buyer to purchase goods, materials, and services while meeting cost, quality, and delivery targets. You will report to the Supply Chain Operations Team Lead from our New Stanton location with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities include managing RFQ/RFP, P2P, on-time deliveries, vendor creation, supplier risk analysis, and driving cost savings. Collaboration with plants and project teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent; supply chain focus required.
• At least 3 years in operational supply chain, nuclear or technical areas.
• Experience with P2P, Record to Report, Order to Cash; SAP MRP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ/RFP including pricing, delivery and terms.
• Manage procure-to-pay from engagement to PO issuance and issue resolution.
• Ensure on-time deliveries with suppliers and internal clients.
• Create new vendors in Approved Supplier List.
• Explore alternate sources and conduct supplier risk analyses.
• Lead contract change activities and cost-saving efforts.
• Coach junior buyers and coordinate work to meet plant needs.

About The Role

As a Senior Buyer you will purchase goods, materials and components and services following specified cost, quality, and delivery targets. You will report to the Supply Chain Operations Team Lead and be located at our New Stanton, PA location. Hybrid Work Schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Support RFQ/RFP process including the pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions


• Manage the procure to pay process from engagement to Purchase Order issuance and resolve issues with our teams


• Manage On Time Deliveries with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, project)


• Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List


• Explore alternate sources for goods and materials, plan and share with Buyers


• Conduct risk analysis of suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints


• Facilitate contract change activities


• Resolve scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes and guide cost savings.


• Coach junior supply chain professionals (Buyers)


• Coordinate work to meet volume and plant's requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Supply Chain or Business degree preferred.


• 3+ years' experience in in operational supply chain, nuclear or technical areas


• Knowledge of P2P (Procure to Pay), Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/ Manufacture


• We prefer knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers.


• We prefer knowledge of SAP MRP, Material Masters, Purchasing Info Records (PIRs), Source Lists, and Purchase Order automation processes.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
