Job summary

Baxter Healthcare is seeking a skilled Materials Planner/Procurement professional to optimize planning and procurement for uninterrupted manufacturing. You will collaborate across Operations, Quality, Finance, Logistics, and Suppliers to meet service, inventory, and financial objectives, using ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision making.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–7 years of experience in material planning or procurement, with APICS CPIM/CSCP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in Material Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, or Manufacturing Supply Chain.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
• Experience in ERP systems and advanced supply chain analytics is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Strong knowledge and experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, MRP Planning, Inventory Optimization, and supply chain analytics, leveraging tools such as Kinaxis Rapid Response and Advanced Excel to drive data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform purchasing cycle activities for all assigned materials, including quality revisions and shipping communications.
• Maintain inventory and turns goals; implement changes to achieve targets.
• Plan to maintain required inventory; coordinate with warehouse/logistics for timely deliveries.
• Monitor Purchase Price Variance and develop strategies to minimize negative impact.
• Control inbound freight expenses per Baxter routing guide; monitor deviations.
• Provide accurate information on all purchases and inbound materials to operations.
