Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in the United States seeks a Manager, Purchasing to lead procurement for manufacturing in a regulated environment, overseeing Buyers and ensuring material availability, supplier performance, and continuity of supply.

You will collaborate with sourcing, operations, engineering, and quality to optimize material flow and drive improvements, aligning with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, materials planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Maestro preferred), inventory planning tools, and supply chain reporting systems required.
• Strong understanding of procurement, materials planning, MRP systems, inventory optimization, and supplier management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities that support manufacturing operations within a regulated environment.
• Oversight of Buyers and ensuring material availability and production schedules.
• Manage supplier performance and drive continuity of supply.
• Collaborate with sourcing, operations, engineering, quality, warehouse, and Stockroom to optimize material flow.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and continuous improvement in procurement execution.
