Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Manager, Purchasing to lead procurement activities supporting manufacturing in a regulated environment. You will oversee Buyers, ensure material availability, support production schedules, manage supplier performance, and drive supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement, materials planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Maestro preferred), inventory planning tools, and supply chain reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead team priorities aligned with business objectives, production schedules, and customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to improve delivery performance and total cost.
• Review MRP outputs, demand forecasts, and lead times to support uninterrupted production.
• Drive procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and operational execution.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, GMP, and company procurement and quality system requirements.
