Job summary

Verathon is seeking a Senior Buyer-Planner to join our Bothell, WA operations. You will own the end-to-end supply chain for assigned commodities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure on-time delivery by evaluating capacity and placing purchase orders.

You’ll work on inventory control, negotiate with suppliers, support NPI transitions, and collaborate with A/P and MRB teams to resolve issues. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of purchasing experience.
• Experience purchasing & planning electrical, electro-mechanical and mechanical components.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers.
• Experience in supply planning and/or managing subcontract PO's.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Epicor experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the end to end supply chain and supplier relationship for assigned commodities.
• Evaluate supplier capacity required to support customer demand.
• Analyze demand and place purchase orders for materials and ensure supplier commitments are met.
• Manage assigned inventory within predefined Min/Max levels and countermeasure as needed.
• Ensure the third party logistics facility achieves the required inventory level.
• Negotiates with suppliers to mitigate potential delivery issues.
• Analyze supplier responses and make recommendations to business when there are constraints.
• Manage NPI transitions to production.
• Participate in Supplier Business Review meetings.
• Closely monitor supplier OTD and escalate as needed.
• Escalate EOL/LTB decisions and associated supplier negotiations.
