Job summary

Verathon in Bothell, WA is seeking a Senior Buyer-Planner to lead end-to-end supply chain and manage supplier relationships to support on-time delivery and quality goals.

You will analyze demand, place PO's, manage inventory, and collaborate with A/P and MRB teams. The role focuses on regulatory audits readiness and optimizing supplier performance in a growing medical-device environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of purchasing experience.
• Experience purchasing & planning electrical, electro-mechanical and mechanical components.
• Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers.
• Experience in supply planning and/or managing subcontract PO’s.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present information.
• Ability to create partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Understanding of S &OP process; Understanding of MRP systems, BOMs, ECO processes.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; Epicor experience a plus.
• Travel up to 10% of the time is required.
• APICS and ISM Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the end to end supply chain and supplier relationship for assigned commodities.
• Evaluate supplier capacity required to support customer demand.
• Analyze demand and place purchase orders for materials and ensure supplier commitments are met.
• Manage assigned inventory within predefined Min/Max levels and countermeasure as needed.
• Ensure the third party logistics facility achieves the required inventory level.
• Negotiate with suppliers to mitigate potential delivery issues.
• Analyze supplier responses and make recommendations to business when there are constraints.
• Manage NPI transitions to production.
• Participate in Supplier Business Review meetings.
• Closely monitor supplier OTD and expedite as needed.
• Escalate EOL/LTB decisions and associated supplier negotiations.
